Sampling is the process of aseptically drawing a sample from the process for analysis, without disturbing the bioprocess itself. The bioprocess needs to be carefully controlled by measuring important process variables and parameters. These parameters include pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, foam/level, and agitation. The controllers use PID or auto-tuning adaptive control to measure and regulate the process parameters. The choice of a suitable controller depends on the identification of critical process variables.
