Oilseed flaking and milling system

In the preparation and handling of oilseeds, achieving uniform flaking is crucial. Challenges include maintaining consistent pressure and managing high wear and tear on rollers, which can compromise the quality and efficiency of the production process.

Ensure uniform flaking and extended roller life

The Flaking Mill DOQB by Bühler is designed specifically for the oilseed industry to flake cracked soybeans, sunflower seeds, canola, and corn germs. This equipment features 600 mm flaking rollers made from centrifugal cast iron, ensuring high wear resistance and strength. Large, hinged swing doors provide quick access to all major components, facilitating easier adjustments and cleaning. The uniform feeding system across the rollers ensures consistent pressure, extending the rollers’ lifetime and maintaining the quality of flaking. Strong, hinge-mounted magnets are integrated to protect the rollers and downstream equipment from ferrous particles, meeting strict hygiene standards. This flaking mill is mounted on a base frame with vibration dampers, which minimizes vibrations, noise, and wear and tear on the building structure

Benefits

  • Quick and convenient access for maintenance and adjustments
  • Uniform roller feeding for consistent pressure and extended roller life
  • Robust flaking action from high-quality centrifugal cast rollers
  • Integrated magnets for safety and hygiene
  • Reduced vibrations and noise for a better working environment
