Wastewater treatment systems
Wastewater treatment is a three-step process involving the removal of contaminants and impurities from the water. Wastewater goes into settling tanks where floating (scum) and suspended (sludge) solids are removed by mechanical means such as blades. The clarified water is then sent to a secondary biological treatment where air helps the bacterial growth which consumes unwanted material still present. Further purification takes place in the tertiary process.
