Autoclavable fermenters for small scale bioprocessing
In biotechnological research and development, the need for precise and reliable bioprocessing at small volumes is critical. Whether it’s optimization of scale-up processes or experimental trials, managing parameters like temperature, pH, and pressure accurately is essential for producing consistent and high-quality results.

Provides precise control for small volume bioprocessing
The JUPITER series by Solaris Biotech offers a range of autoclavable fermenters and bioreactors designed for small scale bioprocessing, with vessel sizes ranging from 2 to 10 liters. The system is highly configurable with a variety of measurement and control options, including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, dissolved carbon dioxide, redox potential, antifoam, level, conductivity, weight, and cell density. Designed to accommodate both microbial and cell culture processes, the JUPITER models feature jacketed and single-wall borosilicate glass vessel designs. The jacketed design allows for improved heat transfer during autoclaving, while the single-wall design uses a heating blanket and cooling finger for thermoregulation. Additionally, the pressure can be controlled up to 1.6 bar in the 2 and 4 liter models, making it suitable for various bioprocessing applications. The system uses a powerful brushless motor for precise stirring and offers different gas mixing strategies. The LEM01 PLC-based control system integrates multiple peristaltic pumps for accurate dosing. The innovative SCADA software, LEONARDO 3.0, provides automated process management and supports remote access. The equipment is ideal for basic research, education, process development, scale-up studies, and small-scale production in fields such as biotech, pharma, cosmeceuticals, and food and beverages.
