Scraped surface heat exchanger for high viscous products

Maintaining optimal heat exchange when processing high viscous products like mashed potatoes or fruit fillings can be challenging. Traditional heat exchangers often struggle with product build-up and inefficient heating or cooling, leading to inconsistent results and potential contamination.

Efficiently heats or cools high viscous products

The Kelstream Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger by GPI De Gouwe offers an effective solution for inline heating and cooling of high viscous products. It features a vertical design with double concentric heated surfaces, allowing for optimal heat exchange. The complete surface is continuously scraped, preventing burn-on or product build-up and ensuring uniform heating or cooling. The exchanger’s compact footprint and large heat transfer surface make it highly efficient. It’s equipped with a patented cartridge seal, which eliminates the need for barrier fluids and reduces maintenance. With models ranging from 0.5m² to 7.0m² heated surfaces and capacities from 50 kg/h to 10,000 kg/h, it’s suitable for various applications in food, feed, pharma, and non-food industries.

Benefits

  • Prevents product contamination with constant scraping
  • Two heat transfer surfaces for efficient processing
  • Compact design saves space
  • Versatile applications with various media options
  • Easy maintenance with patented cartridge seal
