Lab-scale spray dryer for small volume powder samples
In research and development, producing small-volume powder samples is often essential for testing and analysis. Controlling the drying process precisely is crucial for obtaining accurate and reliable data for further scaling up to industrial production.

Produces small-volume powder samples efficiently
The MOBILE MINOR® by GEA is a versatile spray dryer designed for R&D environments. Ideal for drying small quantities of solutions, suspensions, or emulsions, it produces representative powder samples that provide critical process data. This spray dryer is available with three different atomization techniques: rotary atomization, a co-current two-fluid nozzle, and a two-fluid nozzle in fountain mode. It can handle both aqueous and solvent-based feedstocks, making it suitable for various drying needs. With a nominal main process gas flow of 100 kg/h, water evaporation capacity ranging from 0.5 to 6 kg/h, and a mean particle size range of 5 to 80 µm, the DEVICE can cater to diverse R&D requirements. Optional features such as powder collection, explosion protection, and data logging enhance its usability and safety.
