Pressure and temperature monitoring system for ball mills
In various research and quality control processes, understanding the precise conditions within a ball mill is crucial. This includes monitoring pressure and temperature during grinding, particularly when dealing with sensitive materials or ensuring specific reactions under controlled conditions.

Monitor and record pressure and temperature
The GrindControl by Retsch is a monitoring system designed to measure and record the development of pressure and temperature inside the grinding jar of planetary and mixer ball mills. This system provides critical insights into grinding processes, significantly improving sample preparation, specifically for temperature-sensitive materials or long-term grinding processes. It supports various Retsch ball mills, including PM 100, PM 300, PM 400, MM 500 nano, MM 500 control, and the High-Energy Ball Mill Emax. The system includes sensors for temperature (measuring from -25 °C to 90 °C) and pressure (measuring from 0 to 5 bar), along with software for real-time data monitoring, recording, and management. The modular design allows flexibility with different jar materials and sizes, and wireless data transmission ensures ease of use. Retsch GmbH supplies the GrindControl system.
