Precision quality control for potato and vegetable cutting

In the food processing industry, ensuring consistent product quality during potato and vegetable cutting presents challenges due to seasonal variations and differences in raw material firmness. Achieving optimal treatment conditions is crucial for maintaining product uniformity.

Measure cutting force with instant results.

The Elea Cut Control is designed to measure the cutting force of tubers and vegetables both before and after Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) treatments. The system pushes the raw produce through a grid pneumatically, providing instant cutting force measurements. This capability allows for precise monitoring of seasonal variations and helps to develop optimal PEF treatment conditions. Constructed with stainless steel and anodized aluminum, it is both robust and portable, making it ideal for use in quality control labs or directly on the production line. With an inbuilt pneumatic pressure sensor and customizable cutting grids ranging from 6x6mm to 13x13mm, the Cut Control is versatile and easy to integrate. The unit weighs 15 kg and comes with a transport case, making it convenient for on-site use. Certified for CE compliance, the system operates with 90-240 V AC and requires a 6-bar air pressure, which it regulates internally.

Benefits

  • Instant identification of seasonal variations
  • Enhanced PEF treatment optimization
  • Portable and robust design
  • Customizable cutting grids
  • No need for extra computer for result display
