Heat exchanger for corrosive substance handling

In industries dealing with highly corrosive or ultra-pure substances, standard heat exchange methods can fall short. The challenge lies in controlling temperatures efficiently while preventing contamination, even under extreme thermal and pressure conditions.

Efficiently handles extreme temperatures and pressures

The QVF® SUPRA Coil Heat Exchanger by De Dietrich is designed to cope with highly corrosive substances between -80°C and +200°C. Made from pharmaceutical-grade borosilicate glass 3.3, this exchanger eliminates the need for gaskets by fusing the tube coil to the shell. This design avoids cross-contamination between the service medium and the product. The transparent material allows for easy process monitoring, and smooth surfaces reduce contamination risks. The heat exchanger can handle pressures up to 3 bar g and is available in sizes ranging from DN40 to DN600, accommodating heat exchange areas between 0.03m² and 15m². Ideal for applications in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and specialty chemicals, it offers easy integration into other glass systems and simple cleaning procedures.

Benefits

  • Prevents cross-contamination due to gasket-free design
  • Handles extreme temperatures from -80°C to +200°C
  • Transparent material for optimized process monitoring
  • Smooth surfaces to prevent contamination build-up
  • Wide range of sizes and heat exchange areas to suit various needs
