Waxing station for confectionery products

In confectionery production, maintaining product quality and appearance during storage and handling can be challenging. Issues like sticking and moisture loss are common, affecting the final product’s appeal and longevity. A waxing or oiling stage can address these concerns effectively.

Ensure non-stick, moisture-retentive finishing

The Waxing Station by Extrufood is a compact, efficient unit designed to apply a coat of wax or oil to confectionery products. This step improves the product’s presentation, prevents sticking, and retains moisture. Positioned before the main cooling/conditioning tunnel in most extrusion lines, the unit requires minimal space, allowing for easy bypass when waxing is not needed. The station is equipped with a jacketed system for temperature control, using circulating water to maintain optimal wax or oil temperature. Various grooved guiding rollers can be fitted to ensure uniform application for different product types, enhancing flexibility and ensuring quality.
