Rotary tablet press for abrasive powders

Achieve precise tablet sizing and bilayer production, even with abrasive powders, using a robust press that enhances efficiency and minimizes wear, ensuring consistent quality across high-speed, continuous operations.

Processes Abrasive Powders into Tablets and Bilayer Products

The PERFORMA P from GEA Group is a sophisticated rotary tablet press tailored for industrial and non-pharmaceutical applications. Its unique design incorporates an exchangeable turret system, enhancing versatility by allowing quick and cost-effective changeovers. This system, along with duplicate exchangeable die discs (EDDs), minimizes investment costs while maximizing output. Capable of processing abrasive powders, the PERFORMA P is ideal for manufacturing grinding wheels, detergent pods, and automotive parts, among others.

Equipped for bilayer production, the machine features a tamping station and a robust 80 kN final compression station, ensuring high-quality output even at high speeds. Integrated dust extraction nozzles and exceptional accessibility to the compression area reduce cross-contamination and improve efficiency. The PERFORMA P accommodates various tooling options (D, B, BB, BBS, A) and can produce up to 374,000 tablets per hour, making it suitable for continuous, high-speed operations.

Its energy-efficient design operates on 3-phase power with a maximum power consumption of 11.9 kVA. Available in durable materials tailored for corrosion resistance and long-term industrial use, it supports clean, dry compressed air, and easy-to-access component cleaning.

For clients requiring specific configurations, GEA offers customization and engineering support to ensure seamless integration into existing production lines.

Benefits

  • Enhances production efficiency with quick format changeovers, reducing downtime.
  • Lowers capital expenditure by using duplicate EDDs instead of entire turret replacements.
  • Ensures contamination-free production with integrated dust extraction capabilities.
  • Supports versatile production needs, including bilayer tablets, without significant retooling.
  • Delivers high-quality compression at high speeds, ensuring reliability across diverse applications.
