Pilot Gmp spray dryer system for small-scale manufacturing
In the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, producing clinical batches and developing processes on a small scale requires precise and reliable drying methods. Efficiently converting liquid solvents into dry powders poses challenges, especially when dealing with heat-sensitive substances and demanding GMP standards.
Facilitates small-scale production with precise control
The GSD-800 GENESIS™ by Freund is a Pilot GMP Spray Dryer System tailored for process development, clinical batches, and small-scale manufacturing. The system supports closed-loop spray drying with nitrogen for solvent processing through an optional upgrade. It includes a drying chamber, choice of nozzle, configurable cyclone, and exhaust fines filter, all designed for easy operation with minimal operator interaction. A unique lifting mechanism grants full access for service and cleaning, ensuring no hidden parts or blind spots. The system uses high-efficiency components, such as a modular gas disperser and exchangeable cyclone sections, to optimize yield and performance. Capable of handling various nozzle types (2-fluid, pressure, rotary atomizer, twin jet), it excels at converting liquid into powder efficiently with a drying gas flow rate of 120 kg/hr and a compressed air supply of 13.6 m³/hr at 6 bar, making it suitable for different industrial applications.
