Featuring a cylindrical short aspect ratio mixing chamber, the mixer uses a high-shear plow agitator to impart energy into the materials, ensuring short mixing times. Optional side cutters or intensifiers can be added to increase shear, making the mixer adaptable to various application needs. Capacities range from 50 to 50,000 litres, accommodating both small and large-scale operations. The robust design includes features such as a large bomb-door discharge for quick emptying and various construction materials to suit specific process requirements. Additional customization options include external jackets for heating or cooling and vessels capable of operating under pressure or vacuum for drying, heating, cooling, and sterilizing processes. The mixer is particularly suitable for applications like pigment and dye dispersion, cutting oils into bakery mixes, and granulation of powders.
