The BELPYCNO L by Microtrac is a fully automated gas pycnometer designed to measure the volume and skeleton density of a wide range of materials, including powders, granulates, porous materials, mixtures, pastes, and liquids. It utilizes a probing gas like Helium, which can reach even the smallest pores, ensuring precise density determination. The pycnometer features an internal temperature control and an absolute pressure transducer to compensate for fluctuations in ambient temperature and pressure, allowing it to provide consistent and reliable results. The device can operate as a standalone instrument or be connected to a computer for enhanced control and data management through user-friendly software. This software offers comprehensive functionality, from programming and executing the analysis to storing and generating detailed reports. The BELPYCNO L is equipped with multiple reference chamber volumes (20, 40, and 60 cm³) and sample chamber volumes (4, 20, 40, 60, 112, and 150 cm³) to accommodate various sample types and sizes. It ensures reproducible results without the need for lengthy calibration procedures and offers short measurement times and fast system stabilization. The instrument’s design minimizes contamination risks by segregating the sample chamber from the electronics and incorporating programmable discharge restrictions.
