The VIBRO-FLUIDIZER® from GEA is a vibrating fluid bed designed for the after-drying and cooling of powders. It provides optimal processing conditions for powders with poor fluidization characteristics. Operating as a final stage in a spray drying process, or as a standalone unit, it handles drying, cooling, de-dusting, and agglomeration. Its 100% sanitary design complies with the most stringent regulations in the dairy and food industries. The moist powder layer vibrates on an air distributor plate, and the combination of vibration and upward airflow yields a fluidized powder layer of less than 200 mm. This ensures a controlled, quick residence time while avoiding attrition. The VIBRO-FLUIDIZER® can be customized with integrated CIP nozzles for efficient cleaning and quick turnaround times, and its perforated air distributor plate can be tailored for specific product applications. This ensures efficient post-drying, bringing the powder to equilibrium with incoming drying air.
