Universal mill for grinding nuts and seeds

When producing smooth and tasty pastes from nuts and seeds, challenges such as long grinding times, high energy consumption, and product wastage during changeovers often arise. Efficient processing techniques are essential to achieve high-quality results.

Grind nuts and seeds into smooth pastes

The Pulsar universal mill by Bühler Group is designed for grinding various nuts and seeds, including peanuts, hazelnuts, almonds, sesame seeds, cashews, and pistachios, into a fine paste. The mill features a unique stator and high-speed rotating pins, allowing it to produce pastes with fineness between 25 and 40 micrometers in a single pass. With its corrugated stator and stainless-steel grinding chamber, the Pulsar ensures efficient grinding and easy cleaning using oil or water. It supports fast changeovers without wasting product and has a lower energy consumption of approximately 10 to 20 kWh/ton compared to conventional nut paste production, reducing carbon footprint. The hygienic design of the mill, with all materials in contact made from stainless steel, meets high food safety standards. Additionally, options for magnets or metal detectors are available for removing foreign matter from the incoming product stream.
