Self-cleaning silo filter
During silo loading operations, managing airborne dust is a critical challenge to maintain a clean environment and comply with regulations. Standard filters often require frequent maintenance and can become clogged, disrupting the loading process and increasing downtime.

Traps dust in pneumatic lines
The FAS Self-Cleaning Silo Filter by GEA addresses airborne dust issues during silo loading by trapping dust in the pneumatic lines. The filter features a chamber with bag filters where dust-laden air is piped in. The heavy particles drop to the bottom due to speed variation, while residual dust is trapped in the filters. Clean air exits from the top. An automatic cleaning mechanism uses compressed air jets to remove dust from the filters at timed intervals. A manometer monitors pressure loss for efficiency maintenance. Designed with smooth internal surfaces painted with food-safe paint and constructed in stainless steel (optional), it ensures high hygiene standards. This filter complies with local regulations, making it suitable for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
