The PharmaConnect® by GEA is a versatile R&D processing platform designed for scalability and flexibility. It handles batches from 200 g to 25 kg or more and supports various process modules from granulation, blending, to drying. Using GEA’s PMA high-shear granulation technology, it delivers consistent energy input per unit volume, making it ideal for scaling up from lab to pilot plant. The system’s unique Module Recognition System (MRS) automatically detects the connected module type and capacity, optimizing set points and parameters. It is PAT-compatible and cGMP-compliant. The PharmaConnect® can be configured with a through-the-wall or mobile control unit, featuring a touchscreen interface for easy operation. Suitable for high shear granulation, pelletization, and blending, it ensures homogenous and stable blends, particularly for inhalable drug formulations.
