Corrosion-resistant shell and tube heat exchangers for pharmaceuticals
When working with highly corrosive substances, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring efficient heat exchange while preventing equipment degradation is a crucial challenge. This issue often arises when both the medium and service sides of the system are exposed to aggressive chemicals.
Ensure efficient heat transfer with anti-corrosion properties
The QVF® SUPRA shell and tube heat exchangers by De Dietrich are designed for applications requiring robust corrosion resistance and efficient heat transfer. These heat exchangers feature both shell and tubes made from borosilicate glass 3.3 or silicon carbide (SiC), known for their exceptional corrosion resistance. The standardized PTFE tube plates ensure a tight seal and are designed to meet FDA material standards. With nominal diameters ranging from DN80 to DN300 and heat exchange surfaces between 0.3m² to 27m², these exchangers are versatile and fit for various industrial applications. The units can handle temperatures from -20°C to +150°C and pressures up to 6 barg on either side. Their modular design allows for ease of maintenance, reduced spare parts inventory, and extended service intervals.
Benefits
- Robust corrosion resistance on both sides up to 6 barg
- Suitable for a wide range of temperatures (-20°C to +150°C)
- Compliance with FDA and European safety standards
- Modular design for easy maintenance and fewer spare parts
- High heat transfer coefficients ensure efficient energy use
