The Contherm® Scraped-Surface Heat Exchanger, offered by Tetra Pak, is engineered for the hygienic heating and cooling of viscous, sticky, and particulate food products. It features a vertical installation to eliminate air pockets, ensuring uniform temperature distribution. Its vertical design, coupled with a driving unit on top, helps in minimizing floor space requirements. The system incorporates scraping blades that continuously agitate and remove the product from the cylinder wall, improving heat exchange efficiency. The heat exchanger is available in four sizes, with heating areas ranging from 0.28 to 0.98 square meters, making it adaptable to various production scales. For extended processing flexibility, multiple units can be connected in series for in-line heating and cooling.
