Coating and enrobing system for pet foods and treats
When producing high-quality pet foods and treats, achieving uniform liquid application of flavorings or nutritional additives is critical. Uneven coating can affect the product’s appeal and nutritional value, leading to dissatisfied customers and potential product recalls.

Optimize liquid absorption and uniformity
The Dual Shaft Coater (DSC) from Wenger is a specialized system designed for coated pet foods and treats. It features two counter-rotating shafts for gentle mixing and conveying of the product. The system ensures precise liquid application via rotating discs with nebulizers and spray nozzles. Its enclosed and sanitary design meets stringent food safety regulations. The DSC is efficient at liquid application rates from 0.5% to 12%, and up to 15% for specific recipes. It offers variable speed up to 33 rpm, variable depth adjustment, and heat jacketing options to manage condensation. Additionally, the weigh belt allows for continuous weighing of the product for optimal process control. Available in two models, DSC 850 and DSC 1650, it caters to different production capacities ranging from 1 to 16 tons per hour.
