Centrifugal pumps for food & beverage and biopharmaceutical applications

In industries such as food and beverage, as well as biopharmaceuticals, efficient and hygienic liquid transfer is paramount. Challenges arise from transferring various liquids, from syrups and blood derivatives to demineralized water and cleaning solutions, while complying with stringent cleanliness standards.

Transfer liquids with optimal cleanability

The PCP series from Pierre Guerin, developed in partnership with PACKO Inox Company, offers centrifugal pumps specifically designed for the food and beverage and biopharmaceutical industries. Made from Stainless Steel EN 1.4404 (316L) with electro-polished finishing, these pumps meet EHEDG guidelines and EEC directives. They also comply with ASME BPE, FDA, and USP standards, ensuring top-notch hygiene. Performance varies by model: the PHP & PHP2 series can handle up to 100 m³/h at 11 bar with power up to 45 kW, while the PRP2 series supports up to 75 m³/h at 7 bar with power up to 22 kW. The pumps accommodate liquid viscosities up to 1,000 cP, covering a wide array of applications. Their design ensures perfect clean-in-place (CIP) performance with large seal chambers, open wheel designs, and electro-polished finishes guaranteeing maximum turbulence during cleaning. Certifications and comprehensive documentation confirm each unit’s compliance with noise, performance, hydrostatic tests, and various mechanical seal standards.
