Bottling equipment draws a measured quantity of your drink, food, or formulation from a holding tank and fills it into bottles. QT730-VA is an inspection system for cap quality manufactured by FTsystem using artificial vision technology. The system is available in different configurations based on the caps to be checked. The artificial vision provides a high-level quality control thanks to industrial cameras that, with the help of direct analysis, gathers information about cap defects. In QT730, caps are introduced and positioned in the star wheel via the integrated chute. As the wheel rotates, caps pass one by one under the camera that analyses them. The camera is able to detect for example overturned caps, ovalization, deformation, security ring or sealing ring defect/absence and contamination. Based on the caps and the inspection, in the standard configuration more cameras could be implemented. This particular version is recommended for flat caps, for caps that have an irregular upper surface like sport caps and for shaped caps.

The Baumer Wrap-Around is a carton packing system designed to pack bottles or cans into display cartons, tray cartons, and wrap-around cartons - those can be regular or custom-shaped, with a convenient plastic free handle for easy transport. It has an external cardboard magazine with an ergonomic position for effortless loading of the operator. Besides, the system has a patented three-arms pickup system using suction cups for easy pickup of cartons of varying thickness. The controls are done through a touch screen panel with production data and information on machine operation. It permits format changeovers allowing changing configuration in seconds and can be selected from the operator panel, making the machine automatically set up for new products. The production capacity can go as high as 80 cartons per minute.

Lastly, the RDC-800 has a capacity between 20 and 52 litres of seed per batch and is ideal for vegetable, grains, and flower seeds for large scale operations. Users can pack the output as soon as they are discharged.

Willem van Dok from Seed Processing Holland says that the treatment must cover 100% of the surface of the oil rape seeds. “The objective of growers is to obtain the highest yield for oil pressing, so exposed parts invite infestations and viruses.”

So the challenge is applying this treatment to a lot containing hundreds of seeds. “The main question for seed processing,” Willem notes, “Is how to coat every individual seed uniformly.” This becomes particularly tricky when working with treatments with a high liquid ratio.

But Seed Processing Holland doesn’t just pose the questions; it provides answers too. Willem explains how coating technology achieves homogeneous treatment at high speed.
<h3>Leave no seed unturned</h3>
Seeds are discharged in a rotary coating system and dried with dehumidified warm air. Simultaneously, the treatment mixture is pumped onto a spinning disc at the center of the system, distributing the coating evenly on the seeds as they revolve. During the seed treatment application, the seeds are dried and, when ready, discharged.

“We have pre-programmed this complex operation specifically for oilrape seeds,” says Willem, a solution to ensure homogeneity between lots and across batches.

A well-layered coating gives oilrape seeds their best chance to grow into seedlings. A fresh plot of foundation seeds is an open invitation to a banquet for pests, but precise treatment application closes the kitchen to them.
