Roller press for fine-grained material compaction

In industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, there’s a common need to transform fine-grained materials into solid forms. This often requires a reliable method to produce flakes or briquettes from powdery bulk material for better handling and further processing.

Compact fine-grained materials efficiently

The Kompaktor & Roller Press series by Hosokawa Alpine is engineered to compact fine-grained materials into dense press agglomerates. The equipment draws powdery bulk material into a roller gap between two counter-rotating rollers, where it is compacted under high pressure. This process forms strong binding forces between particles, yielding solid flakes or briquettes. The series includes several models, such as ARC MS, ARC CS, APC L, APC C, and ARC K, each tailored for different industrial applications with throughputs ranging from 150 kg/h to over 1 t/h. Optional features like roll cooling, vacuum de-aeration, and customizable roll dimensions enhance operational flexibility and performance.

Benefits

  • Improved material flow properties
  • Reduced dust pollution
  • Customizable particle size and shape
  • Increased bulk density
  • Enhanced reaction behavior of materials
