Roasting and pasteurization system for nuts and seeds
For producers of nuts and seeds, maintaining optimal quality during processing is crucial. Common challenges include breakage, moisture pickup, and microbial contamination. Efficient roasting and pasteurization can address these issues, ensuring a safe and shelf-stable product.

Automated roasting and pasteurization process
The NapaRoast Roasting & Pasteurization System, offered by Napasol, is designed for high throughput processing of nuts and seeds. This system allows products to be loaded in bulk bins, which travel automatically through preheating, pasteurization, optional roasting, and cooling stages. The preheating phase warms the product by blowing hot air through the bottom of the bin. During pasteurization, a deep vacuum removes all air around the product, followed by high-pressure steam that heats the product uniformly to the target temperature. If roasting is required, the pasteurized load is moved to a platform for high-temperature air roasting. The final cooling phase uses HEPA filtered chilled air to bring the product to ambient temperature. This all-in-one system ensures no moisture is picked up and maintains raw quality with an improved shelf life.
