Nested syringe filling machine

Increasingly, pre-sterilized Ready To Use (RTU) nested vials, cartridges and syringes are the preferred packaging option for modern pharmaceuticals. Because of this popularity, there are a wide variety of next types available, and traditional filling solutions are either unable to adapt to different nests, or require a long downtime in order to changeover. A modern, aseptic, fully flexible nest filling line offers rapid return on investment by being able to handle a wide variety of nests with minimum downtime and high throughput volumes.

Robotic Nest Filling Machine for high-volume production

The Steriline RNFM Robotic Nest Filling Machine is a complete combination line for the filling of RTU nested vials, syringes and cartridges. It offers the ultimate flexibility by being able to handle all currently available nest types, and is fully customisable with options including semi-automatic or manual debagging station, manual tub handling, volumetric or peristaltic dosing pumps, and the handling of single use disposables.

With a throughput of up to 18,000 pcs/h, the RNFM is the centrepiece of a modern high capacity campaign production system. Fully aseptic, it’s suitable for applications requiring oRABS, cRABS or Isolators.  Tub handling is completely automated as standard, including Tyvek lid and insert removal, using an industry-leading STÄUBLI anthropomorphic VHP compatible robot. Nest handling throughout the filling and capping process is also carried out with high-grade STÄUBLI robots.

To allow maximum flexibility, the RNFM is able to handle a full range of liquid product, from water-like through to high viscosity. For the latter, vacuum assisted filling is available to ensure perfect results. To enable rapid changeovers, fully electronic adjustment is available from the HMI to adjust for different container sizes. This quick changeover reduces downtime significantly.
