Low temperature freeze dryer for high sugar or acid content products

In industrial food processing, certain products have high sugar or acid content, making them difficult to freeze using traditional methods. This challenge necessitates specialized equipment capable of maintaining lower temperatures to ensure proper freeze-drying.

Freeze-dry challenging products efficiently

The FD1800LT Freeze Dryer from Cuddon Freeze Dry is specifically designed for freeze-drying products with high sugar or acid content. With an ice condenser temperature of -55°C and a shelf temperature range from -35°C to 70°C, it ensures optimal conditions for effective freeze-drying. The system includes 19 shelves with a total capacity of 170.5m² and operates using R507 refrigerant. Capable of sublimating 1800 kg of ice within 24 hours, the FD1800LT delivers an average yield of 360 kg of dry product per cycle from 1800 kg of wet product at 80% moisture. The equipment is energy-efficient with an estimated consumption of 1.6 kWh per kg. The product’s footprint is 7.20m in length, 2.80m in width, and 2.58m in height, making it well-suited for large-scale industrial applications.
