Industrial water cooker for pasta processing
In industrial pasta production, achieving consistent and high-quality cooking can be challenging, especially when precise control of cooking time and temperature is required. The process demands reliable systems that ensure uniform cooking and efficient energy use.

Uniform cooking with precise temperature control
The CV Water Cooker from GEA is a sophisticated system used for cooking pasta with adjustable parameters to ensure optimal results. This cooker features a conveying belt that moves the product through a heated water tank, where the temperature is meticulously regulated via an external steam/water heat exchanger controlled by a PLC. The cooking water is recirculated by a pump, which distributes it evenly across the belt surface through a spray system. This ensures uniform cooking by maintaining the water temperature within +/- 1°C across the entire width and length of the unit. With an option for three belts, the first and second belts utilize jetted mixing water while the third works via immersion, preventing product stickiness. The system’s design allows for easy modifications to cooking time, water temperature, and product immersion length, making it flexible for different production needs. Additionally, the cooker includes features like automated belt distancing for easy cleaning, a starch controlling system for improved product quality, and a water recirculation option to reduce waste.
