Colloidal mill for fine grinding and homogenisation

In the production of liquid and semi-solid products, achieving fine particle sizes and uniform texture is crucial. Industries like cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing face challenges with product consistency, particle size distribution, and efficient blending.

Fine grinding for liquid and semi-solid products

The Bachiller Colloidal Mill is designed for the fine grinding and homogenisation of liquid, pasty, and viscous products. The grinding process is accomplished using a high-speed rotor that operates in close proximity to a conical stator. The fineness of the output can be adjusted by regulating the gap between the rotor and stator using a hand-wheel with an electronic indicator. The mill supports flow rates from 0.5 m³/h to 10 m³/h and is equipped with grinding wheels made of stainless steel, corundum, or perforated plates. It features a high shear effect that ensures fine particle sizes, making it ideal for processing products like creams, gels, toothpaste, and sauces. The design also allows for easy disassembly, cleaning, and maintenance in compliance with cGMP and FDA standards. Optional accessories include a double mechanical seal with a lubrication unit, SIP/CIP systems, and ATEX-rated executions for explosive environments.
