The Seg-Flow 1200 Automated Bioreactor Sampling System from Flownamics is an economical alternative to the larger Seg-Flow 4800. It is available in two models, the Seg-Flow 1200 and the Seg-Flow 1200 Plus.

Segmented flow technology allows rapid and accurate low volume samples to be taken from reactor vessels containing aerobic or anaerobic bacterial cultures and yeast, fungi, algae, insect, animal, and mammalian cell cultures. Samples can be either cell-containing or cell-free.

By incorporating a disposable, single-use flow path, the Seg-Flow 1200 is easy to use and requires little maintenance and no specialist operator training.

Samples can be collected from up to 2 reactors and delivered to 2 analyzers or collectors. Built-in expansion capability means this can be extended to 4 reactors with the Sample Module.

Integrated control functions such as an automated feed from an at-line glucose measurement can be quickly and easily implemented.

The Seg-Flow 1200 can be used with small laboratory vessels right up to large full-scale production vessels with 12, 19, and 25 mm models.

The unique Flownamics FISP filter probe used in the Seg-Flow 1200 ensures a sterile, cell-free sample can be taken from any vessel.

Entry-level automated online sampling system

<h2>Automated sampling for up to eight vessels</h2>
The Flownamics Seg-Flow 8000i is a fully automated online sampling system that offers multiple process monitoring and control solutions designed for biofuel, chemical or industrial processes.

The Seg-Flow’s patented segmented online sampling technology means rapid and accurate sampling for up to 8 vessels and sample delivery to up to 4 analyzers and/or fraction collectors. It uses a chemically inert fluid path with automated cleaning or sterilizing after each sample. A number of feed control options are available for maximum flexibility, and the Seg-Flow 8000i can control up to 2 pumps per vessel.

The 8000i is scaled independent and can be used with laboratory, pilot, or production vessels. It utilizes the unique FISP in-situ sampling probe, which provides an aseptic barrier between the vessel and the Seg-Flow system. The Seg-Flow features a built-in touchscreen HMI, providing control over many samples and feed options. The easy-to-use system requires minimal training and allows parameters to be programmed within minutes.

The internal Flow-Web web server logs data and information for each vessel or stream independently and allows viewing and control from any PC or mobile device.

Sefg-Flow’s highly flexible operating software can be tailored to your specific applications. It allows data to be saved in spreadsheet format or automatically exported to other software. System status and reporting can be quickly checked from any device with a browser and internet access.

Online sampling system for larger scale bioprocesses

In biopharmaceutical and chemical industries, sampling is vital to develop, maintain, and improve processes. This needs to be done in aseptic conditions. The risk of contaminating either the test sample or the reactor can be eliminated by using a dedicated sampling probe designed to operate with the range of sample ports in use across all scales of production.
<h2>Risk-free sampling for use with bioreactor top ports</h2>
The Flownamics FISP F-Series is a dedicated sampling probe capable of withdrawing sterile, cell-free samples from fermenters and bioreactors with 12mm or 19mm top ports from lab scale up to production.

FISP is a sterilizable 316 stainless steel carrier that is surrounded by a tubular, microporous membrane.

FISP has been designed to withstand the temperatures, pressures, and chemicals found in fermentation environments and is perfect for aerobic or anaerobic bacteria, yeast, fungi, algae, insect, and mammalian cell cultures. Its design provides risk-free sampling thanks to a sterile barrier provided by its 0.2-micron filter. It offers the flexibility of being able to be used for submerged feeding or adding sterile media.

Compatible with Clean in Place (CIP), Sterilize in Place (SIP), and autoclaving, the FISP is easy to maintain and intuitive to use, with no specialist training required.

The FISP has been developed to work seamlessly with the Flownamics Seg-Flow range of automated samplers for use in fully automated test scenarios.

The Seg-Flow S3 from Flownamics is the latest generation in their line of automated samplers and has been built to deliver the perfect sampling solution for your most critical processes.

Designed for heavy-duty use, the Seg-Flow S3 has been engineered with increased robustness, featuring a highly durable powder-coated heavy-gauge steel construction. The integrated touchscreen GUI is bright and easy to use, with simple thumbnail navigation, and ideal for any lab environment. Bright LED lights offer “at a glance” status indication for easy monitoring.

Seg-Flow S3 offers complete flexibility to match your sampling needs. It can simultaneously sample from between one and eight vessels or process streams with cell-free or cell-containing samples, and then deliver to up to four analyzers or fraction collectors.

The S3 will automatically clean and/or sterilize the sample lines after every collection, removing cross-contamination risk entirely.

For process monitoring, the S3 can export data to any OPC-enabled DCS, PLC or PC, allowing easy performance data monitoring and analysis.

A wide range of feed control strategies can be programmed into the sampler, including setpoint and gravimetric. The S3 can control 2 feed pumps per vessel.
