The Xpert™ Sideshoot X-ray Inspection System from Thermo Fisher Scientific is designed specifically for high-speed x-ray inspection of tall, upright packages such as metal cans and plastic bottles. Using a horizontal x-ray beam, the system inspects the bottom, sides, body, and top of each package for foreign objects. The system features software algorithms tailored to detect contaminants in problematic areas like package edges and centers. It supports up to 500 packages per minute, making it suitable for high-speed production lines. The system is HACCP compliant and can be upgraded to meet IP69K washdown standards. It includes a 15-inch touchscreen interface and offers various algorithms for underfill detection, cap and dent detection, and other customizations.
