Complete material extraction with hydraulic drive
The Hydracone system, by Morillon, is designed to facilitate the unloading of products from conical bottom silos. This unloader works with various materials – heavy, lightweight, powdery, fibrous, dry, or wet. The system operates through a hydraulic transmission where an Archimedes screw, driven by a hydraulic motor, rotates within the cone of the silo, ensuring full product extraction. The hydraulic drive’s high torque at low speed is made possible by Morillon’s Booster start-up system, which reduces the risk of product bridging and guarantees smooth operation. Maintenance is feasible even when the silo is full, due in part to the accessible transmission components. Safety is prioritized with all moving parts enclosed and separation of drive transmission components from the product, minimizing contamination risks. The Hydracone is suitable for silos with a diameter of 2.5 meters or more and a cone angle of 45 degrees, with additional options for explosive atmospheres, high temperatures (up to 150°C), and stainless steel versions.
