The GEA UniMix is a twin-shaft mixer designed for diverse meat mix preparations like hamburger patties, meatballs, and ground sausages. Featuring a tub and paddle with a carefully balanced pitch, it offers efficient mixing, from gentle stirring to intensive protein extraction. Each shaft has its own motor, allowing precise control over the mixing process. The minimal clearance between the mixing wings and tub ensures thorough blending of powders and other additives. Two large outlet gates facilitate fast discharge, reducing product residue and cross-mixing. The mixer supports various processes, including mixing fresh, frozen, and combined mixtures. It integrates easily into fully automated processing lines and offers optional liquid CO2 or liquid N2 cooling for extended formed products, controlled by motor torque load measurement. A vacuum function is also available for improved curing and protein extraction. With volumes of 3500 l and 5000 l, the GEA UniMix is suitable for high-capacity operations and comes with user-friendly programmable touchscreen controls.
