Twin-screw extruder for high containment applications
In high containment and production environments, precise compounding and processing of materials are essential. Challenges such as managing temperature, torque, and material throughput are common, requiring specialized machinery for optimal performance.

Facilitates high-precision material processing
The ZE 18 twin-screw extruder from Three-Tec is designed to meet stringent requirements in high containment and production settings. This extruder offers the flexibility of an integrated or external control unit, tailored to customer specifications. Built with stainless steel components in contact with the product, it ensures durability and hygiene. The system’s technical capabilities are notable, featuring an 18 mm screw, a maximum torque of 60 Nm, and operational temperatures up to 230°C, extendable to 400°C upon request. With options for water or air cooling, and adjustable speed ranges between 0.1 to 300 min-1 (optionally 1-1’000 min-1), the ZE 18 can be customized with different length-to-diameter (L/D) ratios, and it supports a throughput of up to 10 kg/h. Ideal for complex processes, this extruder is driven by a low-noise servo motor, contributing to a quieter working environment.
