Truncated wine fermentation tank

When producing high-quality red wines, optimizing fermentation and temperature control is crucial. Inefficient temperature regulation can lead to inconsistencies in flavor, structure, and overall quality of the wine, making it a challenge to achieve the desired outcome consistently.

Optimize temperature and fermentation control

The ST truncated tank by Serap Industries is a specialized vessel designed for the production of red wines. Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, it features a bright annealed interior finish for reduced cleaning and a circular-polished exterior. The tank is available in capacities ranging from 25 to 206 hectolitres. Its laser-welded exchange surfaces offer optimized temperature control throughout all wine-making phases. The unique truncated shape enhances grape juice and marc exchanges and facilitates off-loading with cap collapse. An optional isothermal feature incorporates polyurethane foam insulation, which saves energy and eliminates condensation. This makes the tank suitable for both cold pre-fermentation maceration and hot post-fermentation maceration.

Benefits

  • Enhanced temperature control with laser-welded surfaces
  • Reduced cleaning due to bright annealed stainless steel interior finish
  • Efficient grape juice and marc exchanges
  • Energy savings with optional isothermal polyurethane foam insulation
  • Available in capacities from 25 to 206 hectolitres
