Robotic pick and place system for cookies

In high-speed bakery production, efficient loading and sorting of various cookie types is crucial. A system capable of handling random product supplies and allowing quick changeovers between different products can enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

Automate cookie loading with flexibility

The COOKIEBOT is a vision-guided robotic Pick & Place product loading system designed by Houdijk. Capable of managing random product supplies, it offers tool-less changeovers between different product types, sizes, and shapes. The system can configure products in various ways, including slug direct in flow-wrap, pile direct in flow-wrap, slug in tray, pile in tray, and product on edge in cavity tray. Equipped with multiple independent Pick & Place modules, each featuring 1, 2, or 4 overhead robots, the system is engineered for bakery conditions to ensure ease of operation, changeability, cleanability, maintainability, and 24/7 robustness. The COOKIEBOT identifies and disqualifies substandard products, ensuring only qualified items proceed. The system can handle different reach executions and features 3-axis robotic movement with optional gripper rotation and pivot capabilities. The overall control system optimizes the loading cycle, ensuring all products are appropriately placed.
