The Iceberg Cooler by Lyco Manufacturing is specifically engineered to pre-cool various food products like vegetables, pasta, and rice within seconds before freezing. With dimensions of 6 feet by 6 feet by 8 feet tall, this compact cooler can handle up to 30,000 pounds per hour (PPH). The cooler operates by conveying the product into an in-feed and carrying it to the top of a sloped wedge-wire screen, mixing with water in transit to efficiently pull out heat. Products can be cooled from 200ºF/94ºC to 40ºF/4ºC in less than 30 seconds, drastically lowering freezer operational costs. The system is flexible, working on all particulate foods, and can utilize ambient city or well water for cooling, making it practical and economical.
