Processing plants for instant coffee production

In the industrial production of instant coffee, maintaining high quality while keeping costs manageable is a key challenge. This involves efficient roasting, extraction, concentration, and drying processes to achieve optimal yield and flavor retention.

Complete instant coffee processing from roasting to drying

The DEVEX instant coffee processing plant offers a comprehensive solution covering all stages from roasting green coffee beans to producing soluble instant coffee powder or granulate. These plants accommodate production volumes from 1,000 to 12,000 tonnes per year, making them suitable for large-scale operations. Notable features include high-yield extraction technology that improves green coffee yield, saving up to 1,000 tonnes of green coffee annually on a 5,000-tonne production scale. The aroma recovery process ensures maximum retention of roasted coffee flavors, enhancing the final product quality. Additionally, DEVEX provides customizable steps such as clarification, concentration, and both spray and freeze drying. The freeze drying process uses batch dryers (CFD) for quantities below 250 kg/h and continuous dryers (CCFD) for larger quantities up to 1,000 kg/h. DEVEX also focuses on sustainable production practices by optimizing energy and water consumption to reduce operating costs and environmental impact.
