The PRL – Lobe Pump from GEA is designed to dose soft fillings efficiently. The filling is loaded into a hopper where a rod-breaker system pushes it towards a screw that feeds helicoidal dosing lobes. These lobes, driven by a gear motor controlled with an inverter, dose the product onto the next stage in the production line. The pump is capable of handling fillings with humidity ranging from 45% to 70% and offers a production capacity of 100-500 Kg/h. Easy cleaning is ensured by features such as a stainless steel structure, hinged safety top grid, a removable pushing screw, and detectable plastic lobes. The system’s mobility is enhanced by its wheeled frame.
