The Mini Cyclomix lab mixer by Hosokawa Micron is a stand-alone, high-shear batch mixer designed for efficient powder blending. It uses exchangeable product bowls, available in 0.1, 1, or 2 liters, and applies a combination of impact and shear mixing facilitated by agitator paddles and a knife blade. The conical design of the vessel allows for centrifugal forces to move particles upward, while a specially formed dome guides them downward, ensuring thorough mixing with minimal mechanical energy. The mixer supports accurate temperature control through jacketed vessels and allows for sterile, CIP/SIP execution. It’s suitable for blending, coating, bonding, and densification processes, and includes features such as full discharge through a central bottom discharge valve and offline filling and discharging capabilities.
