Industrial low temperature freeze dryer for high sugar or acid content products

In the preservation of products with high sugar or acid content, achieving adequate freeze drying can be a challenge. Conventional freeze drying methods may not suffice, leading to incomplete drying and compromised product integrity.

Efficiently freeze-dry challenging products

The FD1200LT by Cuddon Freeze Dry is a low-temperature freeze dryer designed specifically for products with high sugar or acid content. The system employs an ice coil set at -55°C and is operated using R507 refrigerant, allowing it to handle challenging drying tasks. With a shelf capacity of 113.7m2 across 19 shelves, it can sublimate up to 1200 kg of ice in less than 24 hours. Typical operational energy consumption is estimated at 84 kW, making the FD1200LT a reliable choice for efficient freeze-drying. The unit includes 224 food-grade anodized aluminum trays and offers a shelf temperature range of -35°C to 70°C. Cuddon Freeze Dry also offers plant equipment on a separate skid for easy integration into existing facilities.
