Industrial dipping bath for prolonging shelf life of cut fruits and vegetables

In food processing, extending the shelf life of peeled or cut fruits and vegetables is essential. Traditional methods lack efficiency and rely heavily on water and chemical additives, making them resource-intensive and less effective.

Ensures efficient post-treatment with minimal water and additives

The KDB 120 dipping bath by KRONEN is designed for post-treatment of peeled or cut fruits and vegetables to extend their shelf life. The system utilizes a minimal amount of water and additives, such as Nature SealĀ® or CITROCIDEĀ® PLUS, for resource-saving application. The adjustable retention time ensures precise treatment, varying from 30 to 120 seconds. The bath is fed through a hopper, with the option to automate the process using an ascending conveyor belt. A filled dipping tank and additional top-roller spray system ensure thorough treatment of the products. With a capacity of up to 750 kg/h and dimensions of 2600 x 1500 x 1600 mm, the KDB 120 is suitable for various food processing applications. The optional blower at the discharge pre-dries the product, enhancing the overall process efficiency. Electrical power of 2.2 kW makes it an energy-efficient choice. The open design ensures gentle handling of products and easy maintenance.
