Hot start conditioner for feed and food processing
In feed and food processing, maintaining a hygienic and consistent thermal treatment of mixtures is critical to prevent contamination and ensure product quality. Traditional systems may fail to guarantee uniform heating and can leave room for bacteria such as salmonella to thrive.

Ensure consistent thermal treatment and hygiene
The Hot Start Conditioners from Ottevanger Milling Engineers are designed for uniform and hygienic mixing of feed and food products. The closed, insulated mixing chamber utilizes dry steam for heating through a bidirectional rotating shaft with generously sized, adjustable paddles. This system ensures a homogeneous mixture and effective thermal treatment, eliminating the need for a bypass system during start-up or emergency stops. The conditioner features components like a solid AISI 304 mixer shaft, interchangeable hardox paddles, and built-in scrapers. Temperature is precisely controlled with two PT 100 sensors, and the mixer housing is insulated with rock-wool, featuring an adjustable thermostat (30-110 °C). Available in different models with capacities ranging from 15 to 30 tons per hour, the Hot Start Conditioners are suitable for various production scales.
