Fried snack extruder for potato rings
In the production of fried snacks such as potato rings and sticks, maintaining consistency in dough flow and achieving precise cuts can be a challenge. Efficiently managing these parameters is essential for high-quality snack production.

Produce consistent fried snacks with high-speed bandcutter
The Fried Snack Extruder by Reading Bakery Systems is designed to produce various fried snacks including potato rings, potato sticks, and ethnic noodles. The extruded dough is delivered to the fryer via a belted conveyor or an optional oil ‘free float’ conveyor. The system includes pre-feed rollers to manage dough flow, ensuring consistency from the infeed hopper to the die face where it is cut by a high-speed bandcutter capable of operating at up to 275 cuts per minute. The extruder can be fitted with 1 to 6 extrusion units, each available in widths of 13 inches (330 mm) or 15 inches (380 mm), and can process up to 3,000 pounds (1,500 kilograms) of dough per hour. Temperature control is maintained with jacketed extrusion housings, and custom dies and compression heads are easily exchanged for different products. An integrated touchscreen allows operators to control production rate, product thickness, and other parameters. Safety features include automatic controls to prevent exposure to moving parts and electrically interlocked guards and hoppers.
