Filling and closing system for ampoules

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, precise and efficient filling and closing of ampoules is critical to ensure product quality and sterility. Traditional methods can be time-consuming and prone to errors, impacting production workflows and increasing risk of contamination.

Enhances filling accuracy and operational efficiency

The Type 502/503 by Bausch Group is a compact unit designed for the filling and closing of ampoules. The system features a maximum output of 6,000 containers per hour and uses a transport star wheel for smooth, continuous transfer of ampoules to the working stations. Two-piece, valveless dosing pumps deliver precise dosing with an accuracy of up to +/- 0.05%. The ampoules are continuously rotated to minimize product foaming and to ensure an evenly heated ampoule stem, resulting in a perfectly formed dome. Vials are sealed with rubber stoppers fed from a vibrating bowl. This system is optimized for use under laminar flow, Restricted Access Barrier Systems (RABS), or isolators. It can be employed as a standalone unit or integrated into a production line.
