Disposable tank liners

Manufacturers in the bioprocessing industries are increasingly turning to single use solutions for their production infrastructure needs.  Experienced producers know that the flexibility, cleanliness, and convenience of high quality single use equipment increase process efficiency by reducing operator maintenance and cleaning activities, allowing them to focus on more value added tasks.

A disposable liner for reusable rigid vessels that avoids contamination while eliminating required cleaning

JM BioConnect is known for certified top of industry quality and customer service including very short lead times. The company’s disposable tank liners are constructed from a 350 micron thick LDPE film with a completely inert fluid contact layer similar to that in JM BioConnect’s other disposable bag products using JMS Flex Film.  The  film used in the tank liners is thicker and manufactured to a 3D shape to better fit the restraining vessel, but it has similarly low extractable and leachable compounds and is excellently suited for media and buffer preparation in support of subsequent bioprocesses.  Typical use is to install the tank liner into a cylindrical vessel and fill with liquid.  A powder is then added and mixed to create a buffer or media for subsequent bioprocess.  After mixing, the contained fluid can be pumped or drained out and the tank liner disposed of.  The process can begin again with the installation of a new tank liner and no required cleaning of the vessel.  Liners are also available with a bottom end drain port and supporting hoses and fittings to meet the customer’s needs.
