Cools and removes starch from pasta
The WZ from GEA is a versatile conveyor system designed to efficiently cool pasta and remove superficial starches. Comprising a conveying belt and a bottom water tank divided into two parts for water recycling, this system uses spraying ramps controlled by a dedicated flow switch and regulating valve. The product, transported by a plastic material belt, undergoes water spraying and re-spraying. The inclination of the belt, controlled through an inverter, and stainless steel construction enhances durability and ease of inspection and cleaning. The system’s effective recycling mechanism ensures low water consumption while cooling the product to 25°C. The WZ’s belt has a usable width of 750-1200 mm, with a washing length of 2.5 m, making it suitable for varying pasta production needs.
