The GEA Clarifying Decanter dryMaster series is designed for effective clarification and dewatering in chemical and mineral processing. It features a solid-wall bowl with a cylindrical section for liquid clarification and a conical section for drying solids. The system uses centrifugal forces to separate solids, which are then transported by a scroll to the discharge. A unique advantage is its free discharge of clarified liquid into a catcher, ensuring gravity flow. The decanter’s CIP-compatibility allows easy cleaning, and all product-contacting parts are made of stainless or high-alloyed steel for durability. It operates with GEA’s summationdrive, enabling high differential speeds and torques to handle various solid capacities efficiently. The drive system’s high efficiency is supported by a variable speed motor that automatically adjusts the differential speed, minimizing energy use. The decanter can process temperatures up to 130 °C and is available with optional explosion protection adhering to strict ATEX standards.
