Grinding nano-preparations and coating pigments
The DYNO®-MILL by WAB, available through Austar, is a versatile bead mill designed for both continuous and discontinuous wet grinding operations. It covers applications in research, development, and production, particularly in grinding nano-preparations, which significantly improve drug dissolution when the API reaches 150-250 nanometers. It is also used for grinding coating paint for suspension injection, cell fragmentation, soft capsules, and tablets. The mill supports a choice of grinding containers that are easily changeable, enabling use in various configurations. It operates on two principle grinding techniques – KD agitator discs and the DYNO-ACCELERATOR. The design allows for seamless scalability across the DYNO-MILL production line. Materials used for components range from hardened steel to zirconium oxide and Teflon, ensuring no metal contamination and long service life. Furthermore, the mill’s small process volume and excellent cooling properties are ideal for temperature-sensitive products.
