Aseptic filling and capping for vials and syringes

In pharmaceutical production, maintaining aseptic conditions during the filling and capping of vials and syringes is crucial. Contamination can lead to the loss of entire batches, posing both financial and safety risks. Effective containment systems are needed to ensure product integrity and operator safety.

Ensures sterility in aseptic filling processes

The ISOL-AIR Series by Marchesini includes containment cabinets designed for aseptic filling of vials and syringes. These units can be configured as Closed RABS or Isolators, featuring a range of advanced systems. The aseptic transfer connections use RTPs (Rapid Transfer Ports) for seamless integration. An Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) continuously monitors the environment, while Bag-IN/Bag-OUT filters handle air recovery during potent drug processing. The Automatic Wash in Place (WIP) system, along with manual spray guns, ensures thorough cleaning. Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) is used for bio-decontamination, maintaining sterility. The system can be divided into independent sections, each with dedicated HVAC Air Handling Units (AHU). This ensures a contamination-free process tailored for pharmaceutical applications.
